Networking at the Il Mulino and the Fox Theatre | Atlanta Wedding Photographer

Living in a big city like Atlanta has alot of priveledges. Among so many, are the ones that business owners experience. Being a Wedding Photographer in Atlanta has really been rewarding to me. I came from southern california where, yes it is absolutly beautiful, the ocean is amazing, and I really can’t get sick of it personally, but I did get tired of the same old thing for going to do portraits/bridals at the beach. I love the character of the barns, farms, streets, fields of the surrounding cities of Atlanta. When I first came here last year, I really was nervous that It would be near impossible to start my business over in another city, so far from all my clients in Orange County and San Diego. After the past year, I’ve really seen some tremendous growth and I’m thankful only to God for that! I have found ways to network with other wedding professionals and meet people, and it has been really fun!

This week alone, I attended two networking events for two major bridal magazines, Atlanta Weddings Magazine, and Atlanta Occasions Magazine. It was fun because I invited a new friend of mine to come along, Kelly Lane from Kelly Lane Photography.

I was invited to their magazine networking events and it was such a great time. I mingled with some of Atlanta’s top end wedding professionals. I was able to meet the new editor in chief of Atlanta Weddings Magazine, Elizabeth Ralls.

She was a really sweet lady to meet. I also met some of her fabulous staff, Garrett who’s the Advertising Director and Alison West who is an account executive for the magazine. It was nice to finally put a face w/ a name! That all happened on Tuesday at the ILMulino Restaurant at the Peachtree tower (191) near the Ritz Carlton. There was fabulous food, drinks,

This guy was a cool guy, it was pretty funny what happened, I thought he was asking me if I was married, lol, it was embarrasing a bit cause I said YES, but she’s not, and pulled Kelly over, Well then I realized he meant basically was I the one who was getting married (He thought it was for a wedding I think)…so ya embarrassing! But funny! See the smirk on his face, he’s totally thinking i’m a complete dork at this point! 🙂

Loved that Cover of that edition, so Elegant and beautiful!

and we also had some really great music by one of the top event DJ’s in Atlanta, Lethal Rhythms, Joel.  Here’s a shot of Joel doing his “Thang”! 🙂

Then yesterday I was also invited to the party for Atlanta Occasions Magazine. They were having their event at the Fox Theatre Atlanta. I didn’t get to get so many images this time, I was focused on the topic that day was about decluttering your workspace, organizing and staying focused. So I tried to ahere and not focus on being a photographer for the event, there was an official photographer and I didn’t need to do the thing he’s there to do. It was Ben Vigil photographing and he is honestly a fabulous photographer! I love his work, check it out if you want to, it would definitely inspire you!

What a great week! I can’t wait to connect with the new people I’ve met! Have a great weekend! 🙂
