Through my child’s eyes | Day 8 through 11

This weekend has been incredible! I’m SO grateful that I took this past weekend off and just spent time with my husband first and my family as a whole, second. It was difficult to not sit on facebook or check email constantly, I am pretty connected and plugged in.. There was only ONCE that my husband jokingly said, Hey, “Un plug”… i quickly got out of my trance like state and got off the phone. We had so much fun and so what I did was take photographs every day, as though I was normally, but just didn’t post. I felt it more important to just be w/ the family and not worry about posting since it was precious time.

My husband got back from a marine training school and surprised the kids in bed, they didn’t budge… it was sweet. I took these photos at the highest ISO setting I could possibly take them, i think it was high 2, which is like 25,600 and I hand held it at 1.2 F/stop and 1/50th of a second. It is noisy, and a little movement, but you know what? Perfect doesn’t always make the photo better, to me, this photo is perfect because it actually captures the noise, it shows it was late and dark.. I treasure it!

Logan did sort of wakeup, after much tickeling to try to awake him, he laughed but seemed still sleeping, but did hug daddy! :)Craig moved on to avalyn and again, no wakey!

Well the next morning I wakeup and run to the store since weve been cave people for a while, and got much needed breakfast items, when i return, daddy is in the above tent in with the kids playing, it was so sweet!

So since mommy has arrived, its time to cook breakfast, and Daddy is the chef of our house. I do cook, but i’m not that great, he is the breakfast cooker, especially on weekends! He loves it and so off he went. The kids were in tote because they love to cook and help daddy! Here’s logan observing.

I absolutely love how much Logan is just like Craig. He adores him, he mimics him and he is him! Lol! So the weekend was off to a great start! We were going to do lots that day, but ended up just going to get pizza at Mellow Mushroom, our fav there in our area, and had some fun there too! Logan and I had a game of, what did he call it, Ultimate tick tac toe!

Yeah basically everywhere I would put an “x” he could cross it out and put a letter.. interesting rules, he won of course! :)(Now I know I’m “IN” the photo here, but its still included because i’m never IN the photos and my lovely husband thought it a good idea to include me for once, thanks honey 🙂

Then daddy decided to draw for logan, logan was in awe!  He loves to draw as well and I know he gets that skill from his daddy!

And last but not least, we decided to go bowling this weekend. It was a CRAZY busy night at the bowling alley. Thankfully we got to go play laser tag while we waited on our lane to come open. Logan loves laser tag, and if I could have captured photos in there and still had a camera afterwards I would have, but i was a little nervous with the little crazies running around in the dark, that it would not be the best choice. but we had a blast! Guess who won, ME! I should have photographed the score board, dangit! But yes, I beat my super awesome marine husband in laser tag! Who’s better at shooting, ME! 🙂

So there is my kids adventures for the weekend. Tomorrow the kids go back to school and I finally get to get some work done around the house! It seems like they’ve been on a three or four week long Christmas break! I know they’ve loved it and so have we, but I have lots to do!!

See ya tomorrow!
