Where have I been? Wedding Photography catchup!

Wow! I am in COMPLETE shock that I’ve not blogged in almost 5 months! How horrible of me! I’m so sorry to anyone who ever use to check my blog. I am going to get better at blogging within a month after the wedding/event, I promise! Life has definitely not stopped for me though! Let’s see if I can rewind and catch everyone up on Katrina Wheeler Photography and me, of course 🙂 Wedding Photography is my passion and I hope to come to a place where I can blog consistently, until then, enjoy my catchup post!

Back in May, the last thing I posted about was the Douglasville Bridal Workshop. It was a fabulous time and I was privileged to meet many different brides and vendors!  Unfortunately this event happened in a weird time for me personally. Due to this, I neglected to have the time and energy to keep up with all the vendors I met and I apologize! My husband and I were trying to get pregnant actually, and it was a crazy couple of months! After a early miscarriage, we finally got pregnant, for good! 🙂 Yes, I’m pregnant! I’m actually 6 months now! Pretty crazy huh! Well, more on that later. So, for now, i’m going to briefly introduce each shoot I’m catching up on, and then have a future post for that shoot alone but give you a preview!! 🙂

In May I had the privilege of photographing two different lovely sets of people. First I was able to photograph a senior girl named Meredith. Her shoot took place in Marietta at the Square, and we had so much fun! She use to dance here on the square at a studio and it meant a lot to capture her Senior Portraits there. Take a look at how beautiful she is!

I also was so honored to be invited to spend the weekend in Savannah, GA for a destination wedding. Amber and Josh got married at Forsyth Park and had their intimate reception at Skyler’s Restaurant, directly across the street from the Beautiful Savannah Riverfront! I had only been to Savannah once before and didn’t get a chance to really explore the area, due to our time constraints, this time we got to not only explore but photograph all up and down the river bed! We even were offered a ship to use for portraits, for no charge! It was pretty awesome! Cobblestone, Spanish Oak trees, gorgeous weather and two beautiful people in love!  I was also totally stoked that my friend Kelly Labrueyere was able to join me and second shoot for me. We stayed at the beautiful Staybridge Suites of Historic downtown Savannah. It was the perfect place to stay for 3 nights. Walking distance to EVERYTHING! Anyway, Heres a few peaks at our day. A full post on this coming soon! Here’s some shots of Kelly and I that we shot of each other. (Kelly on left top, and bottom right. Me on Top right and bottom left).

And the beautiful Bride and Groom, along with a couple sneak peaks from their Next Day session that gave them 2 more hours to get creative gorgeous portraits in her wedding dress, without time constraints on the wedding day! I love these shoots!

This next preview is for Drew and Shantal, now Phillips! They got engagements and their wedding done this year by myself and my staff. Here’s a preview of their engagement photo shoot and their wedding. Their engagement session was held at The Monastery of the holy spirit, and their wedding was in Milledgeville. To see their wedding post in full detail, check back soon!

In June I was privileged to photograph Rachael and Erik’s wedding at Park Tavern, Atlanta, in the Garden. They had their reception outside in the covered patio area. It was a beautiful Atlanta night, and this venue is located right on Piedmont Park. A gorgeous couple, a beautiful skyline view of Atlanta and gorgeous weather made for a beautiful wedding! Thank you to Bobbi Jo Brooks for helping second shoot with me this day! Also Hannah for assisting!  More to come on their wedding too! It was incredible!

They did a “First Look”… So romantic in Piedmont Park, in Atlanta.

I think that’s all I can type out for today, I’ll do a part two catch up tomorrow. Just stay tuned now, and we’ll catch up! 🙂 Thanks for reading! And be sure to follow me on Facebook for faster updates and previews! 🙂
